I am a very active, driven, goal oriented girl who is always up for a challenge.  After playing division 1 college volleyball I was constantly looking for new ways to challenge myself and stay in shape.  I joined a local gym and lifted weights a few days a week and ran about 20-30 miles per week.
I was bored with my routine and not seeing the results I was hoping for.
A few of my friends had tried crossfit and loved it, so I decided to give it a try.  I thought I was in pretty good shape as I had just run a marathon, but boy was I wrong.  I love crossfit because it is always a challenge, no matter how fast or strong you are you can always challenge yourself.  I have seen incredible gains in my strength and stamina.
The first day I came in I wrote down a goal of being able to a pullup, which I have never been able to do, and 3 months later I did my first pullup! Now I am able to do 30-50 (not all in a row, but in smaller increments).
I love the comradery and the friendships I have made at crossfit, everyone is very supportive.  The instructors (Trina and Tony) are a wealth of knowledge about fitness, nutrition, injuries, achieving your goals etc, which is a level of support you don't receive at your local gym.
From day one I was completely hooked on crossfit and love the results I have seen in the year that I have been crossfitting!
