I am a pretty simple eater, in fact when it comes to food - I get a run on something and eat it almost daily. Breakfast is an easy one for me because I am up at 3:00am every morning Monday - Friday. I start out with a scoop of whey in about 8oz of water, about 10 almonds and a cup of green tea.
I switch to coffee or Spark around 6am depending on the morning.
No later than 7am I have a much larger breakfast:
A large handful of cut up fresh spinach, 3 egg whites, 2 whole eggs fried in a small amount of oil. I serve this over 1/4 of an avocado and pile on the hot sauce. I may prepare this ahead of time and take it with me to the Station depending upon my schedule that day.
By 9am I have a well balanced snack.
If I am at the gym I may have a bite or two of banana with 10 nuts and a large piece of beef jerky. Sometimes I have fresh blueberries instead of the banana - I love any kind of berries. When I stay home from work I might have a piece of gluten free toast, covered with almond butter, with a sliced strawberry on top and 2 thinly sliced pieces of ham.
Food is simple and easy to prepare when you find something you like stick with it for a while - your body will love you for it.
