Day Two

"Just Keep Swimming" Dory's Theme song is in our heads (thanks Tandy) and yes that is what we are doing over here. Not because the humidity is high (you loose weight just standing outside) Tony is slowly moving up the ladder. 27 points separates he and the 3rd place guy. Its going to be a tight race. You can check out the leaderboard here hands

"We used to call those Canadian Bacon hands back in the the gymnastics days" says Helsi.

The biggest thing today is the hands. This had nothing to do with faulty grip - remember I said it was hot out here. The bars are Hot - new - and moist. Tony's hands plus 95% of ever athlete hands look like this. OUCH OUCH OUCH!

He is excited for the two workouts today and will give it his best shot. Thanks again for all your comments and cheerings we SO appreciate everything! You can catch updates and photos of Tony on my Facebook Page and Instagram.

We pack up early tomorrow morning - we have a lot of SH*T and cram it into our little rental car - once the games are over we head over to Anaheim and relax a bit with the family. Tomorrow we head over to Disney Land and have some fun.

In the mean time keep moving and stay Awesome.

Orientation Day

Well Dang-It I had a picture of Dave Castro and it did not save to phone. dave

Dave is quoted saying "We got calls about the master's not being prepared for the handstand walks. Its Fu@$ing CrossFit. You have to be prepared for the unknowable"

So not to harp on that workout any more - lets just hope Tony gets a PR of 5 Feet! This would not give him a zero - so send your good vibes and energy Boise Peeps!

Tomorrow the schedule will be live streamed directly on your computer at The Master's Schedule is he is in the 50 - 54 age category.

Orientation Day: Tony's Recovery Tent is all decked out with air conditioning, therapists, food, lounge chairs. He will be in good hands. Unfortunately coaches are not allowed in the tent. :(

See that big white tent directly behind Tony - ya that is the athlete's tent.

It was Tony's Rest Day so Kayla and I went for a run and stair climbing. The favorite part of my day.

Until tomorrow - Stay Moving.

Day One - Done!

It is amazing how so many people eat, breathe, live CrossFit. What I mean by that is they have tattoos on their bodies that tell me so. And the paraphernalia going out the door is amazing!  The money that this organization is making in their clothing alone is incredible. Anyway - a great day of CrossFit with so many FIT Master's. Seriously - the women in my age group (45-49) are in amazing shape!! I think I have at least two years of very serious training before I would even come close to their degree. So many fit people here - totally awesome. Some great articles being written, click here to read on

We are super happy to see most of you surviving on your own and finding other boxes or creative ways to get your WOD on. Every box owner that I have spoken with says the same thing about CrossFitter's "CrossFitter's hate it when we close - even if its for a holiday" So we are super proud of what ever you all have decided to do this week. We are still trying to round up a coach for Saturday - no takers as of this evening. We have the help - it is that no one is in town next be continued.

Day One we arrived at the track at 6:45am. and you would of thought this was our first rodeo. We forgot our food bag back at the hotel! So Tony ran back home to grab it. Then we did not bring enough food by lunch time and they don't have any vendors open in the main area yet so...we scrambled back to the hotel, ate, showered, put our feet up and took off again. We did not pack enough clothes for towels or flip flops for Tony to change into - geez!

Which means no stroll on the beach for this girl ;)

After the 2nd workout Tony said, "I felt every pound on the sled pull today" he also said "I can't believe I did not get through 30 pullups". However in the car he said to me "tomorrow I need to move up a couple of spots" This is all good news guys - he is going to do better tomorrow! Top 12 advances to the next round after tomorrow's  WODs.

Monday July 22nd 2013 Orientation Day

It is days like today I wish we lived near the beach. The ocean is like therapy. Tony took a rest day while I did a WOD. Rest Day We visited CrossFit 310. We had a blast - every member greeted us with open arms like a CrossFit Family does. I was very relaxed and comfortable there. I relied on Helen (another member there, who's hubby is SWAT) to be my coach/partner. She treated me like an old friend. I bought a really cool burn out tank because the box owner Kris insisted that we give him no money for dropping by. I know this week's focus is all about Tony but I am going to try and sneak back down to the ocean and take a stroll.

Still star struck - when Graham Holmberg goes running by our hotel window and does some stretching.

The best news ever - the master's events are all streamed live from your computer - which is better then ESPN3. According to Denny ESPN3 is a pain in the butt - so this is much better! The Event Schedule is posted click here to see it. We have to be at the StubHub Center no later than 6:45. Its going to be a very long day....Tony's first WOD goes around 10:55 a.m. I think he will do well. I wish I had more pictures to post - they are on my camera and I forgot the cord to download the photos onto the computer. In fact you all just need to be here with us - seriously it is totally worth coming out!

Eating away from home is like camping. We always eat better when we are away. Deliciousness!
